• BARSA Aviation Summit 2018

    “A Blueprint for Collaboration”

Johannesburg — Gauteng Province, South Africa
    2nd March 2018

Aviation and tourism are inextricably connected. Air transport especially has a significant role, if not a decisive one, in making the destination accessible and in driving tourism growth and promoting trade. This calls for greater alignment and closer collaboration between aviation and tourism industry role players in making sure that blockages that hinder growth are removed, and the benefits to the economy are fully exploited.

About the BARSA Aviation Summit 2018

The Board of Airline Representatives of South Africa (BARSA) is convening an Aviation and Tourism summit on Friday, 2nd March 2018. The objective of this gathering is to establish mechanisms for improved collaboration and to achieve greater alignment between Aviation and Tourism industry role players.

BARSA, as the representative voice of African and International airlines operating to and from South Africa, and as a partner in development, wants to work closely with other industry partners in making a significant contribution to South Africa’s economic development and create conditions for growth. Key to this is unshackling the aviation industry from persistent constraints that inhibit growth.
